Close your eyes and tell me what you see.

There is no right or wrong answer because the moment you close your eyes, it all goes black.

Now imagine losing your sight at the peak of your life. The devastation would be overwhelming knowing how the world once looked and now having it taken away. But for those born blind, there is no sense of loss. They can't mourn what they never had, nor do they carry memories of the beauty around them. This contrast between seeing and not seeing inspired me to reflect on the gift of vision, not just in its literal duty of seeing but in how we perceive life.

I've always been passionate about life and nature, endlessly curious about my existence and the changing seasons. Autumn was always a bittersweet time for me. Watching nature fade away, leaves falling, and the days growing shorter. But this year, I saw autumn differently. I admired the transformation, the way tress shed their leaves, the forest changing colour, turning shades of brown, orange, red and yellow. It reminded me that while every story, every life has an end it also has a beginning. Remember when your teacher first taught you to write a summary or essay, she/he would always tell you to make sure that the end reflects to the beginning.

I want to convey the beauty of not only being alive but being able to see life unfold. Our eyes, often described as "windows to the soul", remain unchanged as our bodies age. This perspective has shaped the film I'm creating.

While I dreamed of capturing all four seasons, I will begin filming in the winter. The story will open the calmness of winter, symbolising the end of life, and close with the bloom of spring, representing new beginnings. Through this project, I hope to capture the beauty in endings, the promise in new beginnings, and the wonder of truly seeing life.
