Research into Conventions

After figuring out what exactly I want to do for my film, I did some research into the conventions of films. This will help understand the different conventions that I can use and the different types of openings. Below you can see a mind map that I have created with the commonly used conventions alongside different film openings which I go in a little more detail.

The opening of the film is the most crucial part. If the audience isn't hooked by the first 2-3 minutes of the movie then they will find no interest in continuing.

Therefore I want to include the following to awaken the viewers curiosity and soul:

• Starring Actors

• Music
